- 14. Nov - 16. Nov. NAS hosted the first International Workshop on Robustness of Complex Networks (more information)
- Fernando Kuipers has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor on August 1, 2010.
2009
- Tom Kleiberg and Piet Van Mieghem have received the best-paper award for their paper “Self-Organization of Internet Paths”, at the International Workshop on Self-Organizing Systems (IWSOS), Zurich, Switzerland, December 2009.
- Huijuan Wang has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, entitled Robustness of Networks, on Sept. 8, 2009.
- Tom Kleiberg has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, entitled Flow-based Networking and Quality of Service, on May 2009.
- Bingjie Fu has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, entitled Traffic Engineering and Quality of Service in the Internet, on March 2009.
2008
- Yue Lu, Jan David Mol, Fernando Kuipers, and Piet Van Mieghem have received the best paper award, for their paper "Analytical Model for Mesh-based P2PVoD", at the 10th IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (ISM2008), Berkeley, California, USA, December 15-17, 2008.
- On the occasion of Prof.dr. Jens C. Arnbak’s retirement from TU Delft, a symposium in his honor was held on Friday November 7, 2008. The symposium was followed by Prof. Arnbak’s valedictory lecture.
- Benny Fallica, Yue Lu, Fernando Kuipers, Rob Kooij, and Piet Van Mieghem have received the best-paper award for their paper "On the Quality of Experience of SopCast" at the First IEEE International Workshop on Future Multimedia Networking (IEEE FMN´08), Cardiff, Wales, September 18, 2008.
- Professor Ariel Orda has been appointed as the 2008 Cor Wit chair at Delft University of Technology, associated to Network Architectures and Services group. His inaugural speech took place on June 13, 2008 in the Aula. (more information)
- On the 19th of February, 2008, we have hosted a CONTENT industry workshop to facilitate an interactive discussion between industry and universities (present in the European Network of Excellence CONTENT). The workshop featured several presentations from industry partners as well as from CONTENT members. (more information)
